The Waiver Wire 11/16

Welcome to Week 11, everybody.  I hope you’re having a great season.  Yours truly is having a lot of injury problems but all of my squads still have a pulse so I’m grinding away and hoping my luck changes a little.

The injury bug is everywhere and there are a few things to hit before we get into the waiver options.

Aaron Jones’ knee injury will keep him out a few weeks and that makes AJ Dillon a huge add if he is somehow available.  Mark Ingram is another good add with Kamara’s injury having a bit of a nebulous feel. He’s also rostered in almost all competitive formats, but just in case, he’s a great add.

Week 11 Bye Teams

  • Denver Broncos
  • Los Angeles Rams

  • Mac Jones
  • Justin Fields
  • Jimmy Garoppolo
  • Daniel Jones
  • Tua Tagovailoa
  • Cam Newton

Jones has obviously settled into a reasonably good place, so he can be used as needed but the ceiling is nothing special. His matchup with Atlanta on Thursday is a good one.

Fields has some good matchups coming but this week’s tilt with the Ravens is mediocre and he has a tough matchup with Green Bay in Week 14. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

Jimmy G has played well enough to keep the rookie on the pine and it doesn’t look like it will change any time soon. Daniel Jones has a tough matchup this week at Tampa but the remaining schedule is pretty solid.

  • Rhamondre Stevenson
  • Jeff Wilson
  • D’Onta Foreman
  • Wayne Gallman

Stevenson looked good last week and should be added but Damien Harris should be back soon and he’s good too. I’m adding this guy if my team is in good shape because he has starter’s upside if he gets more starts.

Wilson could be moving into weekly flex range if he keeps getting more involved AND, this week, we have Elijah Mitchell nursing a broken finger, so that gives Wilson some added appeal.

Foreman has looked the best of the Titans backs so far (in the wake of Derrick Henry’s injury) and is worth adding in all 12-team leagues.

Gallman is a potential play this week if Cordarrelle Patterson’s ankle is not ready for Thursday’s game.

  • Kadarius Toney
  • Van Jefferson
  • Darnell Mooney
  • Bryan Edwards
  • Elijah Moore
  • Donovan Peoples-Jones
  • Michael Gallup
  • Sterling Shepard (no practice yet)

 The Saints guys

  • Marquez Callaway
  • Deonte Harris
  • Tre’Quan Smith

Going Deeper

  • Jamal Agnew
  • Robby Anderson
  • Marcus Johnson, Titans (Julio Jones out)
  • T.Y Hilton
  • James Washington (if Claypool sits)

Toney should be ready to take off now and why wouldn’t the Giants try to develop him now?  I like his potential to be a weekly play down the stretch.

Jefferson is now looking like a weekly flex with Robert Woods done for the year and Odell Beckham still getting his feet wet in the scheme. Edwards is going to keep getting chances and I like his ceiling but he’s volatile.

Elijah Moore has a lot of potential but the Jets are really tough to trust as a functional offense.  Still, stashing Moore makes sense and he can be flexed in needed.

  • Pat Freiermuth
  • Logan Thomas (hopefully back this week)
  • Dan Arnold
  • Tyler Conklin
  • Cole Kmet
  • Gerald Everett
  • CJ Uzomah
  • Evan Engram

I’d sell out to get either of the top two guys and Thomas is actually available in plenty of smaller leagues. Kmet is a guy who could be nearing a mini breakout, so I like adding him as well if you are looking for some ceiling.
