WR Ranks Week 6 (updated Saturday)

Welcome to the Week 6 Wide Receiver Rankings!

As Jim Hackett and I discussed on the WEEI pod last week and as I mentioned here, the WR position is changing as NFL passing attacks change—with fewer players locked into great situations and with an increased number fantasy-viable options on your average team.  There’s more passing yardage to be had, but targeting it with single players is harder than it’s ever been, once we get past the studs and strong second options.  It makes weekly rankings all the more important.

As always, these are my initial rankings.  I will collect all the pertinent information that comes out over the next 48 or so hours and apply it all to the final rankings that get posted on Saturday.  I strongly suggest you use those rankings for your Sunday lineup choices.

Bye teams: Bills, Bears, Colts & Raiders

For DFS this week, the rankings, I think, point us in the right direction.  With some potential values at RB, this could be  week to spend up a bit at receiver, and we have some good options.

Here are a few options I like right now.

  • Julio Jones
  • DeAndre Hopkins
  • Cooper Kupp
  • Tyreek Hill
  • Amari Cooper
  • Chris Godwin
  • Larry Fitzgerald
  • Will Fuller
  • Michael Gallup
  • Mecole Hardman

If you missed yesterday’s podcast on trade targets, mostly of the buy-low variety, you can listen below–as you peruse the rankings.
