With Anquan Boldin’s departure from Baltimore, we see an increase in value for Dennis Pitta. Pitta, already an ascending player, was sharing the role of possession option with Boldin. We think he is more consistently involved going forward. It doesn’t hurt that Pitta’s good friends with zillionaire QB Joe Flacco. Pitta always gets looks when he is on the field.

The Ravens have deep threats in abundance with Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones. We suspect that they add another young receiver in this year’s draft. Still, the most trusted target for Joe Flacco is going to be Pitta, and that will make him a solid TE1 option in 12-team leagues next season. He definitely gets a bump in dynasty formats as both he and Flacco are both entering their primes.

Pitta is a player we told you about last year and he performed right about to our expectations. In 2013, we expect him to take another step forward. We think he has a chance to tease a thousand yards receiving and ten touchdowns. Not bad, right?
