Butler was one of our sleepers and he was taken in round seven by the Raiders, one round after taking RB Latavius Murray. Are these guys reading Rotobahn? It couldn’t hurt.

Butler is an interesting prospect. He started out his career at USC and was a solid performer but he transferred to San Diego State for his senior year.   He had his best season at San Diego State but was still underwhelming statistically. Nevertheless, as I mentioned in our NFL Draft Day Three article, he has good measurables and catches the ball very well.

What we like about Brice....

  • Fast. He ran a 4.36 at his pro day.
  • Has good feet around the sidelines.
  • Has good body control for a 6’3” receiver.
  • Can get up and catch the ball.
  • Can get open and is a red zone threat.
  • Can get in and out of breaks well for a big receiver.

Brice Butler is a fine developmental receiving prospect and could be a solid add late in dynasty drafts.
