Arizona’s Andre Ellington has been a Rotobahn favorite prior to last year’s draft. Rotobahn was out in front of Ellington’s 2013 breakout and we like his chances in 2014 as a potential RB2. We asked HC Bruce Arians about Ellington’s knee sprain that cost him Week 13, and the coach said it was a non-issue. Going into the combine, Arians had said that he wanted to build the offense around the second-year tailback.

This is a good time to add Ellington in long-term formats as his value is going to increase when folks begin to do the math with the Arizona backfield (which will almost certainly be without Rashard Mendenhall, who sounds like a hippy in an opium den these days).

Take a look at Ellington’s original scouting report if you haven’t already .. you'll find some quality footage from his days at Clemson.

Here’s a look at some of Ellington’s better moments from his rookie campaign in Arizona.

With a role that is almost sure to increase, Ellington has the potential to better his numbers from 2013 ... and perhaps significantly so. He’s also a nice back in just about any scoring format due to his all-around skill set, and the role Arians has created for him. The only time you’ll see him out of the game-plan in 2014 would be at the end of a blowout win.

Presently, the best bet to draft as an Ellington handcuff is Stepfan Taylor, who also did some good things as a rookie in 2013, and projects as a complimentary big back with all-around skills ... but little wiggle.
