Welcome to the Week 7 Quarterback Rankings. I’ll be back a little later with the running backs, wide receivers and tight ends. All positions should be up before Thursday Night kickoff.

There’s no shortage of ways to approach quarterback for DFS this week, but there are going to be seasonal GMs with tough choices, especially if you are forced to use the last 7-8 options. I’ll keep working on these rankings through Saturday night as always. Right now, my favorite DraftKings play is Russell Wilson due to the combo of low cost and high upside.

Bye losses:

  • Matt Stafford
  • Deshaun Watson

Rank PLAYER TEAM Cost Matchup PPG THE SKINNY
Tom Brady NE 8000 ATL@NE 10/22/2017 08:30PM ET 23.743 Easy play.
Matt Ryan ATL 7500 ATL@NE 10/22/2017 08:30PM ET 15.376 If he throws to the backs effectively, he could have a big day.
Marcus Mariota TEN 6900 TEN@CLE 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 15.9 Great matchup. As long as all the scores don’t come on the ground, you are in very good shape.
Dak Prescott DAL 7300 DAL@SF 10/22/2017 04:05PM ET 22.456 Great matchup.
Drew Brees NO 7600 NO@GB 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 18.848 Solid road matchup.
Carson Wentz PHI 6700 WAS@PHI 10/23/2017 08:30PM ET 22.443 Norman should play this week and that makes Washington’s D tougher. ***Norman is OUT, so I am upgrading him***
Cam Newton CAR 7000 CAR@CHI 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 21.19 Playing much better, but K Benjamin is banged up so that’s one concern.
Kirk Cousins WAS 6500 WAS@PHI 10/23/2017 08:30PM ET 21.532 He’ll be throwing the biscuit here. If he gets some time to throw (a serious question), he’ll have a huge day.
Russell Wilson SEA 6400 SEA@NYG 10/22/2017 04:25PM ET 20.656 Love road Wilson as he tends to run, but I also love his low price on DK. I’ll have some Russ lineups this week.
Carson Palmer ARI 6600 ARI@LAR 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 19.08 Another plus matchups for Fitz. palmer just needs to get the ball out and stay away from Trumaine Johnson. He’s a decent play.
Ben Roethlisberger PIT 6200 CIN@PIT 10/22/2017 04:25PM ET 13.707 Tough matchup but he’s home (usually a god thing for Ben) and he rebounded last week.
Jameis Winston TB 6000 TB@BUF 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 17.472 He’s going to start and he practiced fully on Friday. I’m upgrading him.
Jared Goff LAR 5800 ARI@LAR 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 15.627 He’s viable but not desirable.
Andy Dalton CIN 5700 CIN@PIT 10/22/2017 04:25PM ET 15.08 Pitt’s got some solid CBs, so tough matchup.
Josh McCown NYJ 5200 NYJ@MIA 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 14.927 He’s been better and more durable than I anticipated.
Tyrod Taylor BUF 5100 TB@BUF 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 14.1 Definitely viable because he can run but this poor dude has very little in terms of targets. His low price does make him a compelling GPP play … as long as you are cool with longshots.
Trevor Siemian DEN 5400 DEN@LAC 10/22/2017 04:25PM ET 18.012 Banged up and no Manny Sanders this week.
Philip Rivers LAC 5300 DEN@LAC 10/22/2017 04:25PM ET 17.57 Tough matchup for sure.
Brett Hundley GB 5100 NO@GB 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 3.79 He’s a HUGE player to watch this week because so many other fantasy assets depend on him playing passable football. I think we may see a better player than we did last week. The matchup is solid.
Case Keenum MIN 5000 BAL@MIN 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 14.572 Diggs probably out again.
C.J. Beathard SF 4900 DAL@SF 10/22/2017 04:05PM ET 7.1 Good matchup but he lacks weapons.
DeShone Kizer CLE 4900 TEN@CLE 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 11.928 He’s back starting but he lacks weapons so I’m avoiding him.
Jacoby Brissett IND 5000 JAX@IND 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 13.362 TOUGH matchup.
Blake Bortles JAX 4700 JAX@IND 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 13.553 They will be run heavy.
Jay Cutler MIA 4700 NYJ@MIA 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 10.456 No Parker again, most likely.
Eli Manning NYG 4800 SEA@NYG 10/22/2017 04:25PM ET 16.623 Not buying into last week’s success. This is a bad situation.
Joe Flacco BAL 4700 BAL@MIN 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 8.303 He stinks right now AND he has no healthy players to throw to. AVOID.
Mitchell Trubisky CHI 4600 CAR@CHI 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 7.347 Low upside right now with so few quality receivers.
Sam Bradford MIN 5900 BAL@MIN 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 14.99 VERY likely to sit again.
Ryan Fitzpatrick TB 5000 TB@BUF 10/22/2017 01:00PM ET 11.2 He could easily start this week, and I will upgrade him if that happens.
Alex Smith KC 6400 KC@OAK 10/19/2017 08:25PM ET 22.93 (ALREADY PLAYED) Smith/Kelce is not a terrible stack in GPPs … for the gutsy.
Derek Carr OAK 6000 KC@OAK 10/19/2017 08:25PM ET 13.132 (ALREADY PLAYED) Not a scary matchup, but Amari is still in the tank.
