Welcome to the Week 6 Tight End Rankings. These are preliminary rankings, and I’ll update over the weekend as I always do. Well, we may finally get Rob Gronkowski back this week and that could lead to more weekly suspense at the top spot in the rankings. For those looking to play Martellus Bennett tonight, I will tweet his status as soon as its known. I’ll be back with the wide receivers and running backs before kickoff.

Bye weeks: Tony Gonzalez and Charles Clay

Jimmy Graham NO @NE They are playing well in New England, but this guy is a mismatch nightmare. He’ll get his.
Julius Thomas DEN JAC He’s seemingly impossible to take away with Manning throwing him the ball and all the other top shelf receivers in Denver.
Jason Witten DAL WAS Good matchup.
Vernon Davis SF ARI He’ll be a big part of the game plan.
Antonio Gates SD IND He’s playing well, but the Colts will provide some resistance.
Jermichael Finley GB @BAL They will attack the Ravens’ safeties and that should mean a few big plays for Finley.
Jordan Cameron CLE DET Not at all worried about his down week. The Lions are not a great matchup, but he’s good for TE1 production.
Greg Olsen CAR @MIN Olsen practiced in full on Friday. He should be good to go this week and I like the matchup.
Coby Fleener IND @SD Fleener has a good shot at a score in this game.
Brandon Pettigrew DET @CLE He’s a solid play right now.
Heath Miller PIT @NYJ Heath is a solid Week 6 option against the Jets. The Jets tend to give up plays to the tight end.
Jared Cook STL @HOU The Rams offense is sputtering and Cook is sputtering along with it. OC Brian Schottenheimer could be in trouble soon. Cook still has big weekly upside.
Garrett Graham HOU STL He’s the man now with Owen Daniels out until Week 14.
Jordan Reed WAS @DAL We’re looking for Reed to pick up were he left off before his deep knee bruise that took him out of Week 4. The Redskins were on the bye in Week 5.
Jeff Cumberland NYJ PIT This is a tough matchup, but Cumberland has been more and more involved and is now the TE to own in NY with Kellen Winslow suspended.
Brent Celek PHI @TB Tough matchup, but he’s been active.
Kyle Rudolph MIN CAR Not a great matchup, but we expect him to pick it up and start finding the end zone.
Tyler Eifert CIN @BUF Still inconsistent, but he could erupt at any time. He loooed good against the Patriots, but needs more looks to make a significant fantasy impact.
Jermaine Gresham CIN @BUF He’s been involved every week, but hasn’t had enough targets to be considered for TE1 usage.
Delanie Walker TEN @SEA Tough matchup.
Sean McGrath KC OAK He’ll be the man again this week with Fasano out and Kelce having knee surgery.
Ed Dickson BAL GB He finally made a big play, but he still has a ways to go before we trust him.
Lance Kendricks STL @HOU He’s one of the few players in ST. Louis that is exceeding expectations, but he’s not viable for fantasy just yet.
Scott Chandler BUF CIN Not sure what to make of his QB situation just yet.
Rob Housler ARI @SF Bad matchup this week, but he should start producing more soon.
Clay Harbor JAC @DEN He’s going to get some looks, but he is hard to get excited about at this point.
Zach Ertz PHI @TB Still waiting for a breakout.
Benjamin Watson NO @NE Strict backup duty behind Graham, but he’ll be up for this game against his old team.
Joseph Fauria DET @CLE Tony Scheffler will probably miss this week with concussion symptoms. Fauria could see a few more snaps.
Dallas Clark BAL GB Did squat last week. He’s past his prime for sure.
Tom Crabtree TB PHI He’ll get back on the field this week and there’s enough of a target vacuum in Tampa that he could be worth something in really large formats.
Luke Willson SEA TEN Could see targets this week if Zach Miller sits out again.
Mychal Rivera OAK @KC He’s the guy, but there’s not much happening right now.
Fred Davis WAS @DAL Losing too many snaps.
Zach Miller SEA TEN Game time decision.
Vance McDonald SF ARI Still waiting for him to get more involved. We love his skill set in Frisco’s offense. It’ll happen, but he’s off the radar right now.
Zach Sudfeld NYJ PIT He’s the #2 guy in NY with Wilnslow suspended.
Tony Scheffler DET @CLE Will likely miss game with concussion.
Anthony Fasano KC OAK He’s been ruled out again.
Kellen Winslow NYJ PIT He’s been suspended for four games for PEDs.
Rob Gronkowski NE NO He’s out yet again and there’s mounting concern as to when he’ll actually get back on the field. The issue is the arm and not the back.
Martellus Bennett CHI NYG (Already played ... originally ranked 9th) Make sure he is active tonight, but we see him as a TE1 in all formats if he’s active.
Brandon Myers NYG @CHI (Already played ... originally ranked 23rd) Giants are just brutal right now and Myers needs to offense to get cranking so he can draft behind it.
